18-07-2012: Workplace Pride welcomes 27th member City of Nijmegen
Workplace Pride is proud to announce it's newest Member, the City of Nijmegen (Gemeente Nijmegen). Nijmegen joins Den Haag and Amsterdam as the 3rd city government to become a Member of the Workplace Pride and becomes the Foundation’s 27th Member. Nijmegen is the first Workplace Pride Member wholly outside of the Raandstad and therefore sets an important precedent in the Netherlands.
Today’s signing ceremony for the new membership was held in the City Hall of Nijmegen. Mayor Drs. H.M.F. Bruls signed the Membership agreement on behalf of the city. Workplace Pride signers were Co-Chair Marion Mulder and Exec. Director, David Pollard. The signing ceremony was held to coincide with Roze Woensdag; a yearly event held in Nijmegen celebrating acceptance for homosexuality.
Please join everyone at Workplace Pride in welcoming the City of Nijmegen as our newest Member!
