Miami Heat eigenaar Micky Arison benoemd tot NBAs nieuw gevormde Social Justice Coalition
na een van de meest actieve teams in de NBA social justice beweging, zal de Miami Heat helpen de strijd voort te zetten. Micky Arison werd benoemd tot bestuurslid van de National Basketball Social Justice Coalition. De organisatie, die vrijdag werd aangekondigd, zal “leiden de collectieve inspanningen van de NBA-familie om gelijkheid en sociale rechtvaardigheid te bevorderen.”
Arison is een van de vijf eigenaren van het team, dat ook bestaat uit vijf spelers en twee coaches. De Heat was actief in de league ‘ s social justice houding, terwijl het spel werd opgeschort vanwege de coronaviurs pandemie en de NBA herstart in Orlando.
Udonis Haslem, Bam Adebayo en Duncan Robinson waren een van de Heat spelers om openlijk hun steun aan de beweging uit te drukken.
